Visual Art Gallery presents Anubhuti – A Solo Art Show by Meena Yadav
Well-known contemporary artist, Meena Yadav, who is known for her contrasting and often inquisitive art is having a solo art show titled ‘Anubhuti’ in the capital from 13th – 17th July at The Visual Art Gallery, New Delhi.
“I started my journey with contemporary art and transitioned into abstract within a few years. Abstract for me is a free form of expression and gives me no boundary to create within. Through my artwork I delve into the nuances of nature and the world around us. Besides being a representation of our society, nature and cultural norms I try to depict a glimpse of the various facets of what I observe the world to be. Each of my artwork adheres to a prevalent issue and is distinctive in its theme, colour palette and visual. I derive insights and awareness while I travel and attempt to translate the findings in my subconscious mind into my work,” Meena Yadav, famous artist portrayed her artistic journey that she has been pursuing all these years.
She has conducted many solo and group exhibitions including Solo Show- IGNC 2014, WAMA Artist Show 2016, Khajuraho International 2016, Sahitya Kala Parishad Show 2016, IHC Show 2018, India Art Festival 2029 & 2020 and Bombay Art Society Show 2021.
“Each of my paintings portray a contrasted world depicting conundrum, uncertainty and the countless thoughts surrounding us. Altogether the theme I base my creativity on is balance, varying the colour palette from earthy to darker colours thereby creating room for interpretation in the direction the viewer wishes to and emphasising on positive and negative experiences both being equally important. Abstract allows me to liberate my ideas. Through peaks of symbols and elements I’ve tried to demonstrate values of freedom and belonging in a man-made world,” said the artist Meena Yadhav.
A very inquisitive artist, she explores deep into the nuances of nature and tries to depict the glimpses of various facets of life.
“Abstract requires a flow of thoughts and a story in the painter’s mind which I personally cannot confine to a single time period or duration during the day. I go about painting as and when ideas strike me, sometimes even continue for hours after I start,” Meena Yadav says.
