“I want to know how strong this communication between different worlds happens through art, and how much we could hope for understanding each other with the language of art as human beings. From different backgrounds and cultures, from different sex and generations, there must be some key parts that connect us so strongly and makes us able to understand each others’ stories.” says Negin ehtesabian, the renowned and a versatile Interdisciplinary artist, Illustrator and designer from Iran.
Negin Ehtesabian is a Painter, Writer, Poet, Designer and Teacher.
“I also illustrate for picture books, design modern pictorial rugs, paint murals, and experience sticker-based street art and have several published critics on illustration and culture in Iranian art magazines,” says the versatile artist.
She is now focused more on interdisciplinary and collaborative art projects.
She has participated in the group Intercultural collaborative new media art projects “IRUS art” and “My Night/Your Day” between Iranian and American artists and led the Iranian teams through several collaborative exhibitions in the USA and Canada.
“I’ve been to the India Katha Book Festival, invited by the Ministry of Education and I proudly had workshops in schools in New Delhi, Vadodara and Chennai. I was amazed by the level of education Indian schools had, stunning huge schools and so well educated students. Also one of my Illustrated books was published there, by Katha Book,” she shared her experiences in India.
She is the co-founder of Sudden Gallery and a member of the Techspressionism Community (US) since 2020 and a member of the Iranian Illustrators society since 2005.
Has been a member of AOI (UK Association of Illustrators) and IGDS (Iranian Graphic Designers Society)
Recently she has exhibited her painting in the International Exhibition, Techspressionism – Digital & Beyond at Southampton Arts Center, New York.
Negin Ehtesabian has received many awards and participated in many exhibitions all over the world.
She studied BA in Visual Communication from the University of Tehran and Animation at the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol, UK.
