On April 11, 2025, at 6:15 pm, the esteemed Arkay Convention Centre in Luz, Mylapore, will host an enchanting evening of music by the talented Smt. Jayalakshmi Sekhar. Accompanied by the rhythmic brilliance of Shertalai Sri Ananthakrishnan on the Mridangam and Trichy Dr. Murali on the Ghatam, this performance is set to captivate hearts and souls.

Smt. Jayalakshmi Sekhar’s journey is a testament to dedication, talent and the pursuit of artistic excellence. Guided by remarkable gurus, she mastered the veena under the mentorship of Sri Pudukottai Jayarama Iyer and spent a decade refining her skills. Her artistry was further elevated by the profound influence of Sangeetha Kalanidhi Padmabhushan Dr. Sripada Pinakapani, whose unique musical style she seamlessly infused into her veena performances. Additionally, she had the rare honor of learning varnams and thillanas from the violin maestro Lalgudi Jayaraman.
