“THE MEDITATIVE WAY OF SACRED CALLIGRAPHY” BY RENOWNED ARTISTS BRYAN MULVIHILL AND CHOKYI PALMO AT PONDICHERRY

Join for an enlightening talk on ‘Sacred Calligraphy Traditions, History, and Techniques’ by renowned artists Bryan Mulvihill and Chokyi Palmo. This event will take place on Tuesday, 14 January 2025, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at TASMAI, a Centre for Art & Culture, Puducherry.

“Calligraphy is a profound art form that explores and expresses the Art of Being in the Moment. Bryan Mulvihill, a contemporary artist, uses Oriental traditions of ink-brush painting in modern semi-abstract ways. He captures the ‘Chi’ or life force through the ‘Way of the Brush.’ Bryan Mulvihill will showcase his recent works and a selection of brushes used to create them,” says the organizers of the programe.

Bryan Mulvihill, a contemporary artist known for his modern semi-abstract ink-brush paintings, and Chokyi Palmo, have both significantly contributed to the art of sacred calligraphy, captivating audiences worldwide, recently in Canada, China, Denmark, France, India, Japan, Norway, Portugal and the UK,  with their unique styles and profound dedication to their craft.
