RECONNECT WITH NATURE: JOIN THE RETURN TO NATURE WORKSHOP BY LEYLA BRASHKA
The “Return to Nature” workshop by Leyla Brashka is an enriching event designed to help participants reconnect with nature and understand the importance of taking care of our environment. Scheduled for Sunday, 12 January 2025, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM, this workshop invites individuals to explore their intrinsic bond with Mother Earth. All are invited to engage in activities that highlight the significance of nature in our lives.
This workshop aims to sensitize kids and adults about the importance of caring for nature.
It begins with an introductory talk about the great role nature plays in our lives. Participants will then collect natural elements such as flowers, leaves, sticks, seashells, etc., and create a communal collection.
“The highlight of the workshop is the creation of self-portraits using these natural elements, allowing participants to visualize how they would look if they were part of nature,” says the organizers of the Workshop.
Leyla Brashka, a Mexican multidisciplinary artist, leads this workshop. She has focused on large-scale sculptures for the past 10 years, with her artworks reflecting her indigenous roots and connection with nature. Leyla’s work aims to bring people closer to nature and their intrinsic bond with Mother Earth. Having won the Ocean Universal Ward sculpture in Pondicherry in 2014, she continues to inspire through her art and workshops.
THE WORKSHOP WILL BE HELD AT TASMAI, A CENTRE FOR ART & CULTURE, PONDICHERRY.
Tasmai is dedicated to promoting sustainable and conscious living, encouraging participants to bring single-use plastics and pet bottles prohibited here.
