COLOUR from Natural Extracts Workshop by SRI VARSHINI KALIAPPAN

Sri Varshini Kaliappan, a development sector professional currently working in Auroville, Pondicherry conducts a unique workshop on how to make colour from natural extracts.

Natural pigments can be extracted from plant materials, minerals, soils etc., that are locally available.

Techniques of extracting pigments and making natural colours for painting can be learnt from the workshops.

Natural dyes are largely used in the food industry, medicines and handicraft products nowadays.

Sri Varshini Kaliappan is a Sustainable Living Enthusiast and practitioner, trying to find alternative solutions to the chemicals that we use in our routine.
