THE CALL OF THE MIRROR

Viraya Eko, an art initiative founded by artist and curator Rohit J Kapoor, presents its latest group exhibition – THE CALL OF THE MIRROR at Travancore Palace, New Delhi on 10 August 2024 and 11 August 2024 from 10.00 AM till 7.00 PM.

The exhibition – THE CALL OF THE MIRROR showcases a diverse group of artists, each bringing unique perspectives.

“Asha Thadani addresses social issues through photography, whereas Suvajit Mondal and Maulik Oza create innovative ceramic art. Artists Nitush and Aroosh manipulate stainless steel into sculptural pieces, Oliver Sinclair, Nirvair Rai Singh explore socio-political themes through their works,” says Rohit J Kapoor, curator of the show.

“Sergey Vinogradov deconstructs masculinity, while Nandini Jhabua promotes the myriad Gond Art. Artist Kopal Seth illustrates environmental and emotional conflicts,” he added.

The Curator and artist Rohit J Kapoor himself blends art and life through his splendid strokes here. Artists Khalid Amin, Rutvik Mehta, Shambu Dayal, Khulem Tennyson and Narendra Jatav portray diverse personal interpretations with artistic vision through their exquisite artworks.

“This exhibition features a diverse array of artworks that encourage viewers to engage with art on a personal level, becoming co-creators in the process. The artists’ works urge viewers to seek out art in the world, drawing them into its spectrum of influence and facilitating self-understanding through the perceptions of others,” Rohit J Kapoor added.
