On 10 November 2024, Tasmai, Puducherry conducts a journey of self-discovery through their Kala-Yoga Satsanga, visiting  the revered Azhagar Siddhar Temple in the quaint village of Thennambakkam, 17 Kms. from Pondicherry,  nestled in Tamil Nadu. This temple, dedicated to Azhagar Swamy Siddhar, is a sanctuary of peace and spirituality.

Legend has it that 400 years ago, Azhagar Swamy Siddhar arrived in this village, healing the sick and spreading wisdom. His presence was so profound that the villagers built a temple in his honor, where his Jeeva Samadhi now rests.

The temple, surrounded by ancient banyan trees, houses three sanctums and is adorned with intricate stucco images. Devotees come here to pray for blessings, leaving behind small statues as tokens of gratitude once their wishes are fulfilled.

Shri Azhagar Siddhar Temple is not just a place of worship but a beacon of hope and faith, where every prayer is a step towards inner peace.
