TALES (TAILS) OF IMAGINATION – GROUP EXHIBITION AT NEW DELHI
When artists create portraits of sentient beings, it becomes an exercise in unraveling tales of imagination. This group exhibition, “Tales (Tails) of Imagination,” invites all to explore the gentle characteristics of creatures as envisioned by talented artists. Each piece is a testament to the boundless creativity and unique perspectives of the artists, brought to life through their chosen mediums.
Palette Art Gallery, New Delhi showcases an enchanting collection that celebrates the beauty and diversity of sentient beings, captured through the imaginative lenses of renowned featured artists from 11 October 2024 till 16 November 2024.
This exhibition speaks about the echoes of our environment and the vast variety of zoological species on Earth.
Among the sculptors, renowned sculptor Rajesh Ram, whose stoneware and brass works stand out with their unique figurative style, blending human and nature elements. Valay Shende, known for his magical use of metallic discs, presents a graceful rhino and goat, capturing their contemplative essence.
Eminent sculptor HG Arun Kumar highlights the plight of elephants with a majestic piece that portrays the elephant as the true monarch of his domain, filled with deep metaphorical meanings.
Here in this show, artist Manisha presents a trio of bottled creatures in satirical stances, highlighting the cruelty faced by animals and birds. Artist R Magesh captures the beauty of Equus, portraying these magnificent animals in their ultimate form. Renowned artist C Bhagyanath offers a panoramic globe where a stag stands in awe amidst a whirlwind stage. Artist Shibu Natesan depicts a man surrounded by fish in water, reflecting the dilemmas of existence. Artist Pradeep Mishra’s stirring portraits feature species from tropical and mountainous regions, including rhinos, deer, and antelopes. Artist Gopi Krishna, known for his hybrid characters and tales of yore, elevates both animal and human figurative painting to high art, creating grand canvases that celebrate the surreal splendor of creatures and their landscapes. These tales of imagination showcase the power of anatomy, texture and the beauty of animals across the universe.
