MARY THERESA Conducts PALM LEAF Workshop at TASMAI, A CENTRE FOR ARTS & CULTURE/ PONDICHERRY

Mary Theresa, a member of the Art and Craft Village, Murungapakkam conducts a workshop on ‘Palm Leaf Craft’ and explores creating new designs to make mats, flowers, baskets, pouches, containers, trays, files, children’s rattle, jewelry and more.

The workshop introduces the basics of palm leaf craft and uses the most beautiful eco-friendly medium that is found in abundance locally.

Those who have learnt the basics can create new designs and explore more.

Mary Theresa studied a one year training course at the District Industry Centre (DIC) and has been conducting training workshops at her home under the aegis of DIC.
