MEMORABLE MUSICAL FIESTA AT KOLKATA

Spectacular showcase of Indian Classical music, organized by the esteemed Tapas Kumar Pal Music Academy, Kolkata held at Niranjan Sadan (Pandit V G Jog auditorium) on 4 August 2024.

The esteemed Tapas Kumar Pal Music Academy, Kolkata founded by the renowned Guru Tapas Kumar Pal, the academy has been a nurturing ground for budding musicians, and this event highlighted the depth and breadth of talent cultivated under his guidance.

The memorable Musical Fiesta commenced with an inspiring inauguration by the eminent Tabla maestro and 2024 Prajna international award winner Pandit Samarendranath Mukherjee, marking a dignified tone for the evening.

The festival featured a diverse array of performances by artists ranging in age from 4 to 84, illustrating the inclusive and multi-generational spirit of the academy.

The talented young artists of Tapas Kumar Pal Academy of Music presented a soul-stirring musical extravaganza, expertly blending Indian Classical ragas on instruments of Violin, Sitar, Bansuri and Tabla. Their renditions were a testament to the rigorous training and dedication instilled by the academy, with each note resonating with the rich tradition of Indian classical music.

Shriman Debangshu Naskar and Shri Sanjay Roy played rage Yaman; accompanied by Shri Mangal Das on Tabla.

Kumari Dishari Pani played by Raga Bhupali; accompanied by Sri Sanjeev Roy on Tabla.

Mrs. Anindita Seal on sitar, Tabla accompanied by Mrs. Ratna Chakravorty on Shyam Kalyan raga.

Honorable Vice President Dr. Sankar Chakravorty played violin on Tilang raga; Shri Mangal Das on Tabla.

Shri Anup Kumar Biswas performed Jounpuri raga; accompanied by Shri Swapan Haldar on Tabla.

Kumari Kaushani Roy performed Yaman raga and Sri Pintu Sharma accompanied on Tabla.

Shri Shakyasingha Majumdar played Aashabari raga, accompanied by Shri Mangal Das on Tabla.

Honorable Joint Secretary Prof. Dr. Chiranjeev De; accompanied by Govinda Sarkar on Tabla.

Shri Tapan Banerjee played sitar on Kirbani raga; Mrs. Ratna Mukherjee on Tabla.

Kumari Aishani Roy played Kedar raga, accompanied by Shri Mangal Das on Tabla.

Kumari Ashrika Chakraborty played on Khambaj raga, Tabla accompanied by Shri Mangal Das on Tabla.

Joint Secretary Ms. Debashree Goswami played Violin on Shiva Ranjani; accompanied by Shri Mangal Das Rush on Tabla.

Adrita Ghosh played Sarang on brindavani raga; accompanied by Mangal Das on Tabla.

Joint Editor Smt. Debashree Goswami performed Rabindra Sangeet (Esraj), accompanied by Sri Mangal Das on Tabla.

Hon’ble President Shri Subhash De Niyogi played raga Dhun on violin and Mr. Madan Chakraborty on Tabla, Joy Bhattacharya on Percussion.

Mrs. Debashree Goswami played Violin on raga Shiva Ranjani; accompanied by Shri Mangal Das on Tabla.

Smt. Pallabita Chatterjee played Tagore Song; accompanied by Shri Mangal Das on Tabla.

The programme also marked the splendid performance of eminent Violinist Biswadeep Biswas played Bengali Folk tune on violin accompanied by young talented artists Mangal Das and Joy Bhattachajee on percussion.

Certificates of merits and gifts were presented to all the young talented artists by the leader of the organization, Tapas Kumar Pal himself. Pauly Chakraborty conducted all the programs well-orchestrated. The evening immersed the audience spellbound, marking it as a memorable Musical Fiesta in Kolkata.
