CELEBRATING CLASSICAL DANCE: NRITYA FEST 2024 AT NEW DELHI
The 7th edition of the esteemed Nritya Fest, hosted by Nrityalaya, New Delhi is set to present its vibrant celebrations at Triveni Kala Sangam, Mandi House, New Delhi on 4 December 2024.
This cultural extravaganza will feature 17 guest artists from six Indian states, each showcasing the timeless beauty of classical dance forms.
The event will begin at 5. 00 PM and features performances from acclaimed artists, presenting Classical dance forms such as Manipuri, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Odissi and Mohiniattam.
The highlight performances at Nritya Fest 2024, promise to be a cultural extravaganza starting with an enchanting Manipuri performance by renowned artist Shrobana Mitra Das from Kolkata, while Raja Dutta and Chaity Ghosh (Kolkata) will present a captivating Bharatanatyam duet.
The Kalanithi Niketan School of Kuchipudi from Telangana will showcase their group performance, and Nritya Varsha (Delhi) by Varsha Dasgupta will bring the elegance of Kathak.
Akshaya Venkatraman from Uttar Pradesh and Krupa Tendulkar from Maharashtra will mesmerize with their Bharatanatyam and Kathak performances, respectively. Aryalakshmi S, from Kerala will also grace the stage with Bharatanatyam, while Anushua Chowdhury from Delhi will perform Odissi and Ameena Shanavas from Kerala will present Mohiniattam.
A special performance by Ms. T. Reddi Lakshmi, recipient of the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar Award, will captivate the audience with her Kuchipudi expertise.
The evening will also honor eminent personalities with the Guru Samman Kala Sreshtha Award and the Yuva Kala Sreshtha Award: Sanskriti Sewa Samman Award.
