CELEBRATE KATHAK LEGACY AT “ADHIYAT” – A TRIBUTE TO GURU DR. ROHINI BHATE
Riddham Kathak School, Bengaluru, proudly presents the second edition of “Adhiyat,” a heartfelt memorial tribute to the legendary Kathak exponent, Late Guru Dr. Rohini Bhate. This event celebrates her invaluable contributions to the world of Kathak.
The evening will be graced by Guru Shri Mysore B. Nagaraj, Karnataka Kalashree awardee, as the esteemed Chief Guest, and Dr. Lakshmi Rekha Arun, Founder & Director of Laasya Academy of Dance, Bengaluru, hosting the evening as the emcee.
“Adhiyat” promises an enriching experience with an audio-visual display on Guru Rohini ji’s life and work, and captivating performances of her choreographic masterpieces by Riddham’s Founder and Artistic Director, Sampada Pillai, and her disciples. The event will also feature mesmerizing solo recitals by renowned Kathak exponents from various gharanas, including Akshatha M from Bengaluru, Shri Sunil Sunkara from Mumbai, a Sangeet Natak Akademi Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar awardee, and Guru Smt Nandini K. Mehta, a Karnataka Kalashree awardee and Artistic Director – NADAM, Bengaluru.
