CELEBRATE INDIAN CLASSICAL MUSIC AND DANCE AT THE 16TH SANGEET SAMAROH 2024

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi, a premier cultural institution proudly presents the 16th Sangeet Samaroh 2024, a festival dedicated to Indian classical music and dance. This two-day event will be held on 6 November 2024 and 7 November 2024, from 6: 00 PM onwards at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi. The festival will feature an array of mesmerizing performances by eminent artists. On November 6th, enjoy the soulful Hindustani vocal performance by Dr. Nalini Joshi, the captivating Dhrupad vocal by Pandit Prashant & Nishant Mallick (Mallick Brothers) and the enchanting Santoor recital by Pandit Abhay Sopori. 

CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE AT THE 16TH SANGEET SAMAROH

Concluding the 16th Sangeet Samaroh, the festival will shine a spotlight on exceptional performances and presentation of the prestigious “Bhavan’s Sangeet Shikhar Samman” award. 

Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Former President of India, will honor the event by presenting this esteemed award, recognizing outstanding contributions to Indian classical music and dance.

On 7 November 2024, the 16th Sangeet Samaroh 2024 will continue to dazzle audiences with exceptional performances. The evening will feature a soulful Hindustani vocal performance by Smt. Kalapini Komkali, a captivating Kuchipudi dance by Smt. Yamini Reddy and a melodious flute recital by Shri G. Raghuraman. These artists will be accompanied by renowned musicians, including Shri Damodar Lal Ghosh on Harmonium, Ustad Akhtar Hasan on Tabla, Shri Gaurav Shankar Upadhayay on Pakhawaj, Shri Abhinay Ravande on Harmonium and Shri Shambhunath Bhattacharyaji on Tabla. 

Invitations are available at various locations in New Delhi including Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Delhi Emporium, Tamil Sangam, Dilli Haat (INA and Pitam Pura), Kamani Auditorium and the Music Department of Delhi University.
