GAUDIYA NRITYA SANDHYA /  ARTIST  RACHEL PRIYANKA 

Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Dhaka conducts Gaudiya Nritya Sandhya by renowned artist RACHEL PRIYANKA on 23 November 2022 from 6.30 PM onwards.

Rachel Priyanka Perris is one of the versatile new generation Classical dance artists  in Bangladesh who has mastered the artistry of classical dance of various forms like Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Odissi.

After completing Graduation and Post- Graduation in Bharatanatyam from the Rabindra Bharati University, Rachel has completed her M. Phil in Gaudiya Nritya from the same University under direct supervision of legendary Guru Prof. Mahua Mukherjee.

Rachel Priyanka aspires to be the first Gaudiya Nritya artist in Bangladesh to achieve the highest academic accomplishment. Gold medalist, winners of various international and national competitions, she has opted to devote herself in the research of Gaudiya Nritya in this sub-continent and  has been one of the youngest yet active classical dance artists in Bangladeshi Classical Dance. Having completed her diploma courses from Gaudiya Nritya Bharati, Nrittayanchal and from BAFA, she has performed in numerous Government and private programmes both at home and abroad.

The renowned artist Rachel Priyanka Perris developed a keen interest in dance from an early age.

She is now teaching at the University of Dhaka as an Assistant Professor of the Department of Dance.

She is the trainer of Verificater Course in Gaudiya Nritya of Shilpa Kala Academy, the national cultural Center for fine arts and performing arts sponsored by the government of Bangladesh.
