A GRAND CELEBRATION OF INDIAN CLASSICAL ARTS – BHASKAR RAO NRITYA & SANGEET SAMMELAN
Pracheen Kala Kendra presents the 54th All India Bhaskar Rao Nritya & Sangeet Sammelan, a mesmerizing six-day festival showcasing India’s rich classical arts. From March 26 to March 31, 2025, the Tagore Theatre in Chandigarh will come alive with daily performances at 6:30 PM, featuring maestros and rising talents in dance and music. Supported by the Ministry of Culture, this event promises a spectacular blend of tradition and artistic excellence.
A Glimpse into Bhaskar Rao Nritya & Sangeet Sammelan Performances
- Day 1 – March 26: The event opens with Shehnai Vaadan by Shri Lokesh Anand and Pandit Vinod Lele on tabla, followed by a captivating Kathak dance performance by Pandit Rajendra Gangani, accompanied by Pandit Fateh Singh Gangani on tabla.
- Day 2 – March 27: Witness the melodic magic of Vidushi Subhra Guha’s vocal recital, supported by Vidushi Paromita Mukherjee on harmonium and Pandit Mithilesh Jha on tabla.
- Day 3 – March 28: Enjoy an enthralling sitar and sarod jugalbandi by Shri Lakshay Mohan and Shri Aayush Mohan, complemented by Ustad Rafiuddin Sabri on tabla. Later, Dr. Nivedita Singh delivers a soulful vocal recital with Pandit Durjay Bhaumik on tabla and Vidushi Paromita Mukherjee on harmonium.
- Day 4 – March 29: Delight in the artistry of leading Kathak exponents as they continue to mesmerize with their elegant performances.
- Day 5 – March 30: Experience the soulful Shehnai Vadan of Shri Lokesh Anand, vibrant collaborative acts with Pandit Ramdas Palsule (Tabla) and Pandit Milind Tulankar (Jaltarang), the powerful Tabla Trio featuring Vidushi Rimpa Shiva, Vidushi Sangeeta Agnihotri, and Vidushi Sunayana Ghosh accompanied by Shri Rajendra Banerjee on harmonium, and the dynamic Bharatanatyam by Shri Samrat Dutta and Shri Santanu Roy with their exceptional supporting artists.
- Day 6 – March 31: Conclude with the timeless elegance of Odissi dance by Padma Shri Guru Durga Charan Ranbir & Troupe, supported by esteemed musicians Guru Niranjan Patra (Mardal), Guru Abhiram Nanda (Flute), Guru Sukanta Kumar Kundu (Vocal), Shri Pradeep Ray (Violin), Shri Prakash Chandra Mohapatra (Sitar) and a spellbinding Flute Vaadan by Pandit Ajay Prasanna, accompanied by Pandit Ram Kumar Mishra (Tabla) and Shri Rishi Shankar Upadhyay (Pakhawaj).
