Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) in collaboration with Nrityangan Kathak Kendra, a centre for Indian classical dance to provide education, engaging and enriching people’s creativity through classical Indian dance, Kathak, presents “Azadi Ki Leher”, a unique exquisite fusion of music and dance performance in connection with the celebration of 75th anniversary of India’s Independence — “75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” at Satyajit Ray Auditorium, ICCR, Kolkata.
Paramita Maitra, the renowned Kathak dancer and choreographer is one of the leading performers and director of this programme.
She has been practicing and studying Kathak under the guidance of the living legend and Kathak Guru Pandit Birju Maharaj.
Nrityangan Kathak Kendra organises Kathak and Odissi workshops along with this programme.
