EMBRACING HERITAGE: KALA-YOGA SATSANGA AT TASMAI, PUDUCHERRY
On Saturday, 21 September 2024, at 6: 00 PM, Tasmai – a Centre for Art & Culture in Puducherry, will host a unique gathering known as the Kala-Yoga Satsanga. This event promises to be a harmonious blend of art, culture and community spirit.
The organizers of this enriching project invite everyone to join in recapitulating and sharing visuals, writings, experiences and concerns from their recent visit to the historic Panangateswar Temple, a renowned temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, celebrated for its exquisite Dravidian architecture and intricate carvings. The temple was originally built during the Pallava Period before the 7th century, later reconstructed as a stone temple during the Chozha period and extended by the Vijayanagaras.
This reflective session aims to foster a deeper connection with the region’s rich heritage and cultural landscape. Participants will also engage in a lively discussion about their next field trip within the bioregion of Puducherry, exploring new avenues to connect with the local environment and traditions.
