SWARANJALI DELHI, a premier organization dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of Indian Classical music presents BAITHAKI – a series of indian Classical music programme, promises to be a cultural extravaganza, showcasing the rich heritage and diversity of India at Kolkata on 20 April 2024.
Eminent artists Koushik Bhattacherjee (Vocal), Aniket Charkravarty (Sarod) and Soumi Majumdar (Vocal) supported by renowned artists Amit Chatterjee, Partha Pratim Das and Sayan Chatterjee will mesmerise with their amazing Vocal Jugalbandi.
Eminent musician Koushik Bhattacharya who has been performing throughout India and abroad in many prestigious music events including at the ITC Sangeet Sammelan, All India Music Conference in New Delhi, Conference of Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Dover Lane Music Conferences. He has toured extensively in the U.S.A., Canada, Italy, France, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Norway, Dubai and Bangladesh.
Aniket Charkravarty learnt his first lessons on vocals from his mother at the age of 6 and started learning Sarod from Pandit Alok Lahiri and later studied from renowned musician Pandit Ranajit Sengupta. He has performed numerous solo and duet all over India and abroad including at Abu Dhabi and Dubai organised by Indian Embassy, Government of India. Aniket Charkravarty has completed B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, now works as a software engineer in a multi- national company also.
Renowned Hindustani Vocalist Soumi Majumdar is an awardee in khayal in WBSMA and winner of the 2nd Pratima Chandra Memorial Award-2017. She is an empanelled artist of Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (‘A’ grade in Khayal) and a regular performer artist in All India Radio and Television. She is very popular and her songs received applause and her songs are widely accessible in worldwide audio platforms and digital stores.
Renowned musician Soumi Majumdar has performed at various prestigious Classical and Semi-Classical concerts and her rendition and graceful voice has won the hearts of lovers of Classical as well as contemporary music including the Thumri-Dadra, Bhajan, Ghazal and Bengali modern songs (Adhunik). She has been conducting concerts in ‘Baithaki’ series and popularizing Indian classical and Semi Classical music.
